Course SummaryThis qualification is available as a 1 day course with attendance within school hours (9.30 am – 2.30 pm) on the dates above. It will provide the opportunity to further tour understanding of key skills in supporting the growth and development of babies and young children, focusing on healthy eating, making the most of mealtimes, talking to children and supporting learning through paly and community experiences. The course will support you to consider whether you would also like to pursue a career in childcare in the future and undertake further qualifications to work with children. Entry RequirementsThe is an adult course and you need to have been over the age of 19 years on the 31st August to be considered for a place. This course is designed for anyone one wishing to improve their knowledge and skills in caring for children or wishing to work with children in the future. Qualification ObtainedAward in Caring for Children Industry Placement and Field TripsNo industry placement is required and there are no planned field trips. Learning and Teaching MethodsThe units that you will study are: CFC 9: Respecting and valuing children CFC 13: Sharing learning experiences with children CFC 20: Healthy eating for families The course will be taught by a specialist childcare tutor and will be classroom based. During the course, you will engage in activities and discussions to enhance your knowledge and skills and will complete a workbook of evidence to demonstrate your learning and understanding. Expert Tutors The course will be taught by a specialist childcare tutor with extensive experience within the childcare sector. Assessment MethodsThe qualification is course work based. You will complete a qualification workbook which in which you will evidence your learning and growing knowledge and understanding for each unit.
