Construction - On-site Assessment and Training
On site assessment at Blackpool & The Fylde College specialise in the OSAT process designed for tradesmen with more than five years experience in their given trade, but without an industry recognised qualification. We work closely with CITB (Construction Industry Training Board) and City & Guilds who are the awarding bodies for construction.
OSAT works alongside the School of Construction at the College, which is a National Beacon Accredited Centre. The School of Construction has been involved with the training of construction operatives for many years and continues to expand and adapt to the constantly changing role and needs of the industry.
OSAT offers unqualified experienced workers the chance to gain a recognised qualification in the form of an NVQ and acquire their CSCS/CPCS cards at the same time. Our assessors visit the candidates at work and assess them whilst they are carrying out their normal every day activities, this service is designed to minimise time off work and unnecessary paperwork.
