Blackpool and The Fylde College had a really good reputation for Higher Education and it was close to where I lived, so I decided to take the plunge and sign up for the management course to further my career with my current employer.

I found there was a great learning environment at College – I was given plenty of support by the tutors and everyone in my team helped each other out. The facilities were also first class and there are a variety of resources available to help with the course.

I oversee a team of 13 employees at work and I believe the transferable skills I learnt on the ECMS have had an immediate impact on my career, as well as giving me a greater knowledge and understanding of what I would like to achieve.

Ultimately to succeed in management, I’d say you need to have good communication and interpersonal skills and be highly self-motivated and proactive. After my time within the College I would recommend 100% anyone who is thinking of furthering their knowledge in education to go for it!
