A new paper cup recycling scheme is being launched across all campuses in September 2010. Instead of polystyrene cups, the College has begun purchasing paper cups which can be recycled throughout the college using the new cup recycling bins. The paper cups will then be collected and recycled by the charity Save a Cup.

Blackpool and The Fylde College are driving ahead with their latest environmental initiative - to produce and trial their very own Biodiesel to fuel the delivery van.

Waste vegetable oil from the School of Catering and the College’s refectories will be used to make the fuel, meaning virtually no additional resources will be required and there will be no environmental impact from waste oil transportation.
