Wyre Borough Council has called on the talents of budding student photographers from Blackpool and the Fylde College to capture captivating images of Wyre.
Year one students on the National Diploma in Photography course studying at the Palatine Campus were commissioned to take original photography to update the council's portfolio of photographs to give future print and online publications a more contemporary feel.

The students were given a number of challenging themes to interpret including excellence and enterprise, innovation, intergenerational, diversity and democracy which they turned into stunning photographs.
Nearly 500 photographs were submitted altogether and the competition was judged by local photographers Lynn Harter, Mike Coleran and keen photographer Ken Johnson from Wyre Borough Council.
The Mayor of Wyre Councillor Alan Vincent said: "We were delighted to invite Blackpool and the Fylde College to participate in this exciting project as we have a close connection with them as many of their students live in Wyre and we recognise that they have a very impressive photography faculty.
"We were thrilled by the creative capabilities of the students who took part in the competition. Their work really was exceptional and we are pleased to give the College the opportunity to showcase just how talented these students really are.
"In the end, it was a very difficult decision for the judges to select the winners as all of the entries were of a very high standard. We would like to thank everyone for all their fantastic efforts and congratulate the winners of all of the categories."
The overall winner of the competition was Alex Judge, aged18, who received £350 for her striking image. Eighteen year-old runner-up Emily Street, scooped the second prize of £100 and Anastacia Loy, aged 21, was awarded third place and presented with £50.
