Welcome to Art, Design and Performing Arts at Blackpool and The Fylde College. We are an Associate College of Lancaster University, which validates our degrees and is among the top 20 universities in the UK. We are extremely proud of our academic record and the support available for international students.

Blackpool enjoys a relatively low cost of living compared to other towns and cities in the UK. Also as a tourist resort, international students have good opportunities to secure part-time work.

Applying

For a full-time place, you need to apply online through a central agency called UCAS (Universities and Colleges Admissions Service). Their website is: www.ucas.com Our advisory application date (the date by which we recommend you return your application to UCAS) is 15 January. However, if for some reason you miss this date, please still submit your application. As long as the course you’re interested in is still running and there are places available we will give all applications equal consideration.

International students can only apply for fulltime degree courses (over 15 hours per week) and must be aged 16 years or over.

Making the move and setling in

Our Student Services team offer help and support plus information and guidance to ensure your time at College is positive and rewarding. The International Welfare Officer and Accommodation Officer will help you with organising accommodation, and with practical things like banking and healthcare. During your first few days, you will follow an induction programme designed to help you to settle in. We also organise exciting visits and social events.
