National and International Award Winners

Over the years our students have won awards at practically every regional, national and international competition open to them.

The list is longer than the Golden Mile and includes: D&AD, Starpack, Roses, ISTD, YCN, RSA, Sony, SWETA, AoP Open, The Guardian Media, Nikon Discovery, the Fuji Awards, Metro Awards, Mitsubishi Electronic Imaging Awards, David Attenborough’s Life Competition and the Royal Horticultural Society Awards. Most of the time these awards are won in competition with students from other leading arts courses.

And it’s not just the students that are used to winning. The School of Arts itself has more than its fair share of accolades.

Our arts students also get the chance to showcase their work at graduate exhibitions staged throughout the UK, alongside our own end-of-year exhibitions. Held in Manchester and London, these prestigious events attract industry attention and often lead to a number of exciting career opportunities. Performing arts students similarly get to showcase their talents in front of casting directors and agents at theatre venues in Manchester and the capital.
