Apprenticeships: Current Vacancies

You can apply online at www.blackpool.ac.uk/application.

Once you have made an application, you will receive a letter inviting you to an assessment day. This is a day and half in College that will consist of:

  • Assessments – The assessments are to measure your working level of Maths, English and ICT. Life Skills form part of the Apprenticeship framework you are hoping to undertake. Don’t worry if you are not strong in some of these areas, the assessment will identify if you need any extra support from us to achieve the required level. We are here to help; we just ask that you try your best.

  • Industry Skills – You will be requested to complete a practical activity within your chosen career. This task will take no longer than 15 minutes and will be fun! You do not need to prepare anything for this, just enjoy.

  • Employability – You will receive a variety of employability sessions, including CV writing and interview do’s and don’ts. These sessions will allow us to make sure you are ready for an Apprenticeship or if you need any additional support, perhaps through a Traineeship, to strengthen your employability skills.
