Apprenticeships are open to all age groups above 16 years old to retirement – whether you are just leaving school, have been working for years or are seeking to start a new career.
Blackpool and The Fylde College is changing how Apprenticeships are delivered to make the programmes more workplace based. We will send an assessor to visit apprentices on site and a new e-portfolio and online tracking system makes Apprenticeships more convenient for both businesses and the apprentice.
The College offers nearly 40 different Apprenticeships across a wide range of vocational areas including Customer Service, Accountancy, Business Administration as well as the traditional trades like Hairdressing, Engineering and Construction. We currently have almost 400 Apprentices studying with us.
People already in work with no qualifications can sign up for an Apprenticeship and continue in their employment. By investing in training their existing employees, businesses can maximise the potential of their workforce and improve productivity.
The College offers Apprenticeships to Level 4 (Foundation Degree equivalent) in some areas, and our University Centre allows for progression right through to degree level.
With the Apprenticeship advert, we hope to increase market share and compete with private training providers The advertising also allows us to promote Apprenticeships to wider audience and recruit further afield as we now have the expertise and flexibility to do that.

Not only was Cally friendly and professional throughout the day but she even styled my hair for the shoot. I'm sure she has a bright future ahead.
