The Student Services Advice Centre

The staff in our Student Services Advice Centres are there to make sure you enjoy your time here and achieve your goals in life. They can offer you help and support across lots of different areas, from practical things like finance and careers to more personal issues, for anything that’s worrying you.

Childcare

For information about childcare please contact the Family Information Service on 0800 092 2332 (for Blackpool) or 0800 195 0137 (for Lancashire). In some cases, we can even help with childcare costs.

Support and Guidance Team

The College has a team of experienced and friendly staff, dedicated to supporting students with disabilities (including specific learning difficulties and mental health issues). We have our own Technical Assessment and Support Centre (TASC), recognised by the Department for Education and Skills.

Caring Staff

Our staff really do care about you and will do everything they can to help you succeed. Every student has their own personal tutor, who will keep track of your progress and help identify any areas that might be holding you back.

Enrichment

Our enrichment programme features lots of exciting activities, clubs and societies that let you try new things, meet new friends and grow as a person. We run fun educational trips too - last year, students made around 5,000 individual trips across the UK, Europe and even the US.

We provide parents/guardians with quality information and regular opportunities to talk to us about any issues or concerns. Our aim is to help students achieve their ambitions and we value home-based support during this important time in their lives.
