With this course youwill gain a thorough insight into the central processes and institutions of British Government and Politics. Topics for exploration include Democracy, Elections, Political Parties, Parliament, The Prime Minister and Constitutional Reform. Through your study of these topics you will come into contact with key UK political issues.
Two units at AS and 2 at A2 level will be examined.
You could continue your studies with a higher qualification in politics or the social sciences. Law, journalism, teaching, television, the Civil Service and management are all viable careers.
You will be enrolling on a course that enjoys high pass rates and is supported by highly-qualified staff. Excellent facilities include an extensive range of political journals and video material. You will also have an opportunity to see politics in action by meeting politicians at party conferences.
